A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Commerce Street Sunday evening around 7:45 p.m.

Police say they found a 29-year-old male in the roadway near 7 Commerce Street suffering from serious injuries and took him to Norwalk Hospital.

Based on preliminary findings, police say the car was traveling westbound on Wall Street and turning southbound onto Commerce Street at the time of the collision, while the pedestrian was crossing northbound within the intersection of Wall Street and Commerce Street.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
