The Attorney General’s Office has now confirmed a driver involved in an East Orange multivehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon was the person who died, not a pedestrian as sources originally told News 12 New Jersey.
The multivehicle crash occurred following a police pursuit that began in Newark and ended in East Orange.
The driver of one of the vehicles sustained fatal injuries.
Two drivers from other civilian vehicles sustained nonlife-threatening injuries. The identities of those involved are not being released at this time.
