        New York City students return for first day of school

        One World Middle School welcomed over 300 students, and teachers say they’re eager to see growth and progress this year.

        Students at One World Middle School in Edenwald said they’re excited to return to class, as New York City public schools officially reopened today.
        Parents shared their enthusiasm with News 12, too. Some of them said they’re looking forward to establishing new routines for their children now that summer vacation is over.
        One World Middle School welcomed over 300 students, and teachers say they’re eager to see growth and progress this year.
        "The kids bring so much to the table, their energy is amazing, and they feed my soul each and every year," said principal Patricia Wynne.
