        A Port Authority police officer was struck by a tractor-trailer near the George Washington Bridge.
        It happened at 3:45 a.m..
        According to Port Authority police, the officer stopped the tractor-trailer after observing two flat rear tires. When the officer returned to the patrol car, the truck rolled forward and struck both the officer and the car.
        Port Authority police say the driver failed to engage the breaks, which caused it to roll.
        The officer was taken to the hospital.
        The status of the officer was not immediately clear.
