A Mount Vernon man has been accused of stealing $6,000 from a bank on Long Island.
The incident occurred at the Island Federal Credit Union in Hicksville, where police say Dennis Magnotta deposited a fraudulent check and used a fake driver's license to carry out the crime.
According to police, Magnotta was able to walk out of the bank with the money before being caught later in Mount Vernon.
He was then brought back to Nassau County to face charges.
Magnotta is currently facing grand larceny charges in connection with the incident.
