49m agoMount Pleasant has settled a lawsuit connected to a fatal crash between a Metro-North train and an SUV in Valhalla.
Court documents say the town will pay more than $3 million.
The SUV's driver and five train passengers were killed at the Commerce Street crossing in 2015.
Defendants sued the town for negligence in the intersection's design and other issues.

The town supervisor says Mount Pleasant was not held responsible for anything, and the town's insurer paid the claim to spare taxpayers.
A Westchester jury found Metro-North primarily responsible for the crash.
The railroad is appealing that verdict.
The National Transportation Safety Board found fault in the SUV driver's actions and a design flaw in the track's third rail.
