The Hudson Valley is still reeling from the powerful storms that pounded the region Tuesday, causing flooding, fallen trees and major traffic disruptions.

One of the biggest trouble spots is the Bronx River Parkway in White Plains.

Police say the parkway remains closed in both directions between the Sprain Brook Parkway and Cemetery Road because of flooding. The closure extends slightly north of the Westchester County Center, an area known for flooding during heavy rain.

DOT also reports that flooding has closed NY 100 both directions between Legion Dr (Mount Pleasant) and Virginia Road (Mount Pleasant) until further notice.

Drivers are being urged to plan for delays and seek alternate routes during the morning commute.

The Bronx River Parkway is not the only roadway affected.

County police say the Saw Mill River Parkway has reopened in both directions near Exit 22.

Meanwhile, a sinkhole has forced lane closures on Interstate 684 northbound north of Exit 6A, where the left and center lanes are blocked.

In Ossining, Route 9A has reopened in both directions at Ryder Road after earlier flooding and a downed tree shut down the roadway.

The Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant also reopened after a temporary closure between Lakeview and Commerce Street.

Officials are reminding drivers to use caution around flooded roadways and allow extra travel time as cleanup efforts continue across Westchester County.
