News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Addison Green says there will be a chance for some showers through the rest of the workweek ahead of cooler temperatures coming in for the beginning of autumn.
        WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
        • An area of low pressure will slowly move up the East Coast, bringing some rain and wind to the area.
        • The Hudson Valley will mainly see cloud cover and breezy winds for Thursday, and maybe some isolated showers.
        • Friday has a higher chance for seeing on-and-off rain move through through the day.
        • The system will pull away Saturday, and with it cloud cover will slowly thin out as drier air comes in.
        • Autumn arrives Sunday morning with the weather feeling like fall - fair skies, a cool and crisp feeling and lowered temperatures.
        • Another chance for rain tries to move in Tuesday and Wednesday.
        • TROPICS: There are two disturbances being monitored by the National Hurricane Center. Tropical Storm Gordon weakened to a remnant low while moving across the open waters of the Central Atlantic earlier this week. It may restrengthen into a depression or storm again though. It has a 20-50% chance of development in the next two to seven days. It does not pose a threat to any landmasses. The second one is in the Western Caribbean Sea and could slowly move into the Gulf of Mexico next week. It has a 0-20% chance of development in the next 2-7 days.
