Milford resident catches 36-pound black drum fish off of Fort Trumbull Beach
The fish was weighted at Bobby J's Bait & Tackle in Milford to confirm its size. According to staff, it is rare to see a black drum fish this far north.

Dan Welby shared his neighbor's photo of the fish.
He says the largest fish caught in the state was 15 pounds with rod and reel.
