Merrick Road reopens in Amityville after emergency repairs
The state Department of Transportation closed the road to one lane of traffic last Friday after engineers discovered it was cracking and shifting.

Merrick Road has reopened in both directions after emergency construction.
The state Department of Transportation closed the road to one lane
of traffic last Friday after engineers discovered it was cracking and shifting.
The portion of affected road is in the Village of Amityville near the creek.
Water pumps were also installed for Monday’s storm.
