Police are searching for the man who they say is responsible for a shooting that wounded a teen and a woman during the West Indian American Day Parade in Crown Heights.

The NYPD says it happened at around 4 p.m. on Sept. 7. An argument between the suspect and another person turned violent near Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue.

According to investigators, the gunman opened fire in the direction of the person he was arguing with. Those bullets instead struck a 37-year-old woman in the ankle and grazed a 19-year-old man in the foot.

Sources close to the investigation tell News 12 that both victims were bystanders.

Paramedics took the woman to Kings County Hospital. Police say she and the teen - who was not hospitalized - are both expected to recover.

The NYPD says the alleged gunman ran away after the shooting, traveling westbound on Eastern Parkway.

The shooting was one of at least five violent incidents before and during the parade festivities. One other person was shot and six others were injured in knife attacks.

Police released images of the man they are searching for in connection with this shooting. He is pictured wearing a white T-shirt, a black durag, blue pants and white sneakers.
