A 53-year-old man was slashed in the neck right in front of Bronxcare Hospital Wednesday morning.

The slashing happened in front of 1650 Selwyn Ave. at 10 a.m.

Witnesses say the man was standing in front of the location when a man approached him and slashed him.

The victim was able to walk into the hospital for treatment.

Police say the victim and the attacker do not know each other.

Police sources say they are searching for a man wearing a blue shirt

There are no arrests and an investigation is ongoing
