A house fire heavily damaged a home in Red Bank early Thursday morning and remains under investigation.
The Red Bank Fire Department said crews responded to a home on Chestnut Street around 2:30 a.m.
Mutual aid crews from Middletown, Sea Bright, Little Silver and Fair Haven assisted at the scene.
Officials have not released information on any injuries. Nine people in two families are receiving Red Cross emergency financial assistance to help with temporary lodging, food, clothing and other immediate needs.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
