A man has died after being struck by a car early Saturday morning in Soundview.

It happened at the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard and White Plains Road at 5:30 a.m.

Police responded to a call of a person laying in the road. When police arrived, they found a man with trauma to his body and severe trauma to his head.

He was taken by EMS to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say the car did not remain on scene.

There are no arrests.
