A man accused of throwing an explosive device on a lawn in Freeport has been charged with criminal mischief.
Police say Michael S. Brown threw the explosive and damaged the property on the morning of Sept. 8.
Following an investigation, the 52-year-old was arrested on Saturday.
He was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
