Atlantic Avenue is getting a new look, with two luxury apartment buildings transforming one of Brooklyn’s busiest hubs.
The new developments, Eight-80 and Prosper Brooklyn, are bringing hundreds to Prospect Heights.
Both feature high-end amenities like rooftop lounges, gyms, kids’ rooms, and even co-working spaces.
Andrew Barrocas, CEO of real estate firm MNS, says the projects are part of a larger shift that’s turning Atlantic Avenue from a traffic-heavy stretch into a residential and lifestyle destination.
“It’s the residential buildings that really transformed everything,” Barrocas said.
He adds that retail is the next step, with developers hoping to attract restaurants, cafés and shops to serve the growing community.
Both buildings are currently about 50% occupied.
