Volunteers at All Fur One rescue say Serene's life has been "a bit of a roller coaster" recently, but despite the ups and downs, this affectionate 2-year-old is ready for a new family.
When All Fur One first met Serene, she was suffering from an old leg injury that never quite healed the right way. The result was a leg amputation and since then, a full recovery. Looking at her play, climb and snuggle, workers at the Toms River-based shelter say the amputation hasn't slowed her down.
Volunteers describe Serene as "sweet, mellow and gentle." They also say she's a bit goofy, smart and very loyal. When she's not snuggling, she enjoys being in the sun.
Although Serene has had some training, volunteers say anyone who adopts a pet through Al Fur One is elligible for free/discounted dog training through their partnership with GoodPup.
