A 21-year-old Long Island man was arrested Monday after attempting to break into a woman's home in Rye's Louden Woods neighborhood.
Allen Jose Corona, of Malverne, was taken into custody after a resident reported a suspicious individual, prompting a police search.
Corona was identified through a video canvass and a tip from a group of women playing mahjong who spotted a suspicious vehicle.
Police found Corona in possession of keys to a stolen vehicle reported missing in Malverne, 50 pills in an unmarked package, a screwdriver and a razor scraping tool.
He faces charges of criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools and criminal trespassing.
Corona is scheduled to appear in Rye City Court on Nov. 19.
