Fairfield police are warning residents to be vigilant and lock their doors after several car thefts in town
The recent incidents happened in the Jennings Road area of town police say.
Police say two teens attempted to break into a home on Highlawn Road on Sept. 2 using keys that were stolen.
Officers say they did not get into the home but gained access to a shed. Police say the day before the two teens were seen entering an unlocked car and stealing a key fob from inside a vehicle as part of several car burglaries.
Officers say the two suspects were arrested but several other suspects were able to get away.
Police say one of the juveniles captured on video was involved in a shooting incident in another jurisdiction just days after the attempted burglary on Highlawn Road.
Police advise locking your car doors and your home and installing security cameras.
Anyone who sees anything is asked to call Fairfield police at 203-254-4800.
