Crews from the city cleared off the tree on Wednesday afternoon using machinery to break the tree down into smaller parts.
No one was hurt when the tree came crashing down.
Neighbors say it happened just after 11 p.m. between West 195th and West 197th streets.
This downed tree is just one of 172 service requests that NYC Parks tells News 12 it has received since Tuesday night's storm.
