        U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor visited Yonkers today to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly opened Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School.
        The school, which welcomed 675 students from pre-K to eighth grade at the start of the academic year, is a dual-language institution featuring a four-story academic building and a one-story community building.
        Yonkers officials say this is the first of three new schools being built to address the district's aging infrastructure.
        The ribbon-cutting ceremony was at 12:30 p.m.
