It was a gathering on a Union Township street corner 19 years in the making.
It all happened at what was once called Jockey Hollow Way. But now it’s Firefighter/EMT Kevin Apuzzio Way.
The street was named for the local hero who died in the line of duty in 2006.
Apuzzio went into a burning building in East Franklin to save a woman when the floor collapsed. He was 21.
Apuzzio’s heroism has been celebrated for nearly two decades, and now the street he grew up on is in his name.
