New Jersey students are making sure their counterparts in Kenya don’t have to.
Newark Academy Middle School students assembled four solar suitcases to send to the Kakuma Refugee Camp located in a remote area of Kenya without electricity.
Each suitcase provides enough light to power a school of 1,500 students. Thanks to Newark Academy’s generosity, up to 6,000 students can now study at night.
