It is one of the most “Jersey Proud” school activities the state sees every year – the Squan-a-Thon event at Manasquan High School.
The 12-hour dance-a-thon raises money for pediatric cancer.
This past March, they raised $86,000 with donations from students, families and local businesses.
Some of that money was put into action this week at Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital in New Brunswick by way of a new gaming console with many different games.
Hospital officials say this has already helped at least 230 patients better manage their treatment.
