Proud parents and cute kids are the themes behind a “Jersey Proud” summer tradition in Ocean City.
The 115th annual Ocean City Baby Parade was held on Thursday.
It is one of the oldest traditions at the Jersey Shore. Parents don’t just roll their children down the boardwalk in a stroller – they must be creative.
Some of the kids are in full-blown floats.
The first parade was held in 1901. Back then, they gave away prizes for the cutest, prettiest and fattest babies.
The award categories have changed throughout the years, but the parade tradition never has.
