The community gathered at the Cape May Library to honor storyteller Anita DeSatnick. After 50 years of leading "Miss Anita's Story Hour," DeSatnick is retiring.
Every week for five decades, DeSatnick welcomed young readers. What began as a library program grew into a Cape May tradition.
To mark her retirement, community members, library supporters and local leaders came together for a sendoff.
Cape May's police chief presented DeSatnick with a special recognition, honoring her decades of volunteer service and her commitment to fostering literacy, learning, and community connections.
