Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central and North Jersey brought hundreds of “bigs” and “littles” to Six Flags Great Adventure for a day of rides, free food and summer fun.

The organization serves about 4,000 children across all 21 counties in New Jersey. Hundreds more remain on a waiting list due to a shortage of mentors.

Volunteers typically commit just a few hours a week, spending time with children and creating meaningful memories, sometimes even on a roller coaster.
