And some of the best lacrosse players on the planet are in our backyard this weekend. News 12 Connecticut's Justin Devellas has the story from Fairfield. And tonight's two games were just the beginning of what's sure to be a fun-filled weekend here at Rafferty Stadium. that brings together. Fans will come out in droves this weekend as the Premier Lacrosse League makes its return to Fairfield. My favorite sport and it's the best, so that's what we're here for and definitely the best team in the right now. It's the 4th straight year the league has come here, including last year when league officials say they set an attendance record. Rafferty Stadium. Honestly, we're really lucky to have a partner in this type of stadium with Fairfield and Rafferty Stadium because it's right in the heart of where lacrosse is. So there's so many neighborhoods, rec program, club lacrosse programs in the area, and all of them are continuing to grow. Most of this weekend's games feature pro players from Connecticut like Easton's Connor Kelly, who will play for the Philadelphia Water Dogs Saturday night. It's the best in the world. Future stars who come out to watch say they too hope to make it to the pros one day. But if you do practice, you'll get better because you're practicing all the skills you do in game and all the dodges, checks. You got all the stuff in the premier zone, ways for kids to pick up a stick, actually play, um, but it's also really safe and it's really fun, and families have a great time in Fairfield.
