While there wasn't nearly as much sun in our New Jersey skies like I forecasted yesterday, the feather in the cap today was the noticeably less humid airmass overhead.
A front has sagged south of New Jersey, shunting the heat and the humidity with it. We'll get one more day of less muggy air before it returns on Sunday. I'm not thrilled with the opportunity for showers tomorrow. Showers are scattered, but they will be around. Do you need to cancel outdoor plans? No. Just have a plan if showers do show up.
There is a wind shift for Sunday and that hot and humid tropical air slides back up the coast. Temperatures will soar back to the low 90s, and the humidity will rise as well. It will feel more like 100 degrees, and of course, a chance for some isolated serious storms could rear up in the afternoon and evening hours.
Another front zips through from upstate New York and the weather cleanses itself once again for Monday and Tuesday. Lots of sun and comfortable temperatures. Possibly some record-breaking warmth might be in the forecast come late next week into the following weekend. Plenty of time to see how the weather pattern evolves.
