A community fair in Greenwich shined light on local organizations earlier this afternoon - with the aim of getting residents involved.
Thursday's event, a partnership between Greenwich Library and Greenwich United Way, included more than 50 nonprofits and town departments, including police and health departments, as well as organizations like the Greenwich Historical Society.
Joe Williams, the director of the Greenwich Library, says hopefully, the event will encourage residents to get involved with their community.
"The idea here is to be able to get that synergy between our different groups, so that we could help build a better community. That's all part of the missions of Greenwich Library, it's all part of the mission of these groups, it's everything that we have in common - it's a common goal for us all."
