A popular summer tradition is returning to Yonkers as final preparations wrap up for the annual Greek Fest.
The festival will take place at the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, bringing together food, music and culture.
Organizers say thousands of people are expected to attend the event.
Visitors can enjoy traditional Greek foods, folk dancing, live music and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
With large crowds anticipated, organizers say safety is a top priority.
“We're always concerned about the safety of our community, but we're working together with some security and law enforcement agents to help make sure that everyone is safe who joins our festival,” said Parish Council President Eleni Koulikourdis.
The festival kicks off Friday at 5 p.m.
