        Gov. Hochul proposes $110 million fund to build child care facilities

        The proposal will be part of Hochul’s State of the State address on Jan. 14.

        Gov. Kathy Hochul was in Brooklyn Tuesday to propose a solution to making child care more affordable for parents.
        Hochul announced a proposed $110 million in state funding to build new child care facilities and to support and renovate existing ones.
        The proposal also includes creating a pool of substitute teachers through the Department of Labor and continuing the coalition on child care taskforce.
