A fire that tore through a Westfield home late Monday night rekindled Tuesday afternoon.
The fire on Tudor Oval is being investigated as an explosion due to how the debris scattered across the front lawn.
Crews returned to the scene Tuesday afternoon after someone reported smoke coming from the remains of the building.
“The back corner of the house was still smoldering a bit, so we are bringing in some heavy equipment that will allow us to move some debris and hit those back corners and hot spots with water,” says Westfield Police Chief Christopher Battiloro.
News 12 has been told that the home has been vacant for 15 years.
        No injuries were reported.
