An intense overnight fire destroyed a row of homes and businesses along Main Street in Butler.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames and smoke, with an entire row of apartments and businesses already severely damaged.

Video sent in by a viewer shows flames pushing through the roof when crews first reached the scene.

The fire spread quickly through the complex, causing significant damage to several connected buildings that make up part of Butler’s Main Street.

Crews are still working to gather details, including whether there were injuries, how many people were displaced, where the fire started and the cause.

Anyone displaced by the fire, or in need of a warm place, is being directed to the community room at the Butler Police Department, officials said.
