        FDNY: At least 5 people injured in early morning fire in Flatlands

        The FDNY says the fire started in the attic and close to 150 firefighters were called to the scene.

        Officials say at least five people are injured following a fire at a private home in Flatlands.
        The FDNY says they got a call just before 1 a.m.
        According to officials, three people were hospitalized the two others were treated at the scene. All are expected to survive.
        The FDNY says the fire started in the attic and close to 150 firefighters were called to the scene.
        The fire took about three hours to put out.
        The Red Cross says it is assisting and has registered 13 adults for emergency assistance, including temporary lodging and financial assistance.
        Any residents displaced by this fire who did not connect with Red Cross should call 877-Red-Cross (option 1).
