FDNY: 1 person injured at massive Melrose fire

As of midnight on Wednesday, the FDNY recommended that residents avoid the area around College Avenue and East 163rd Street.

First responders worked to subdue a fire in Melrose late Tuesday evening.
The fire occurred near the Metro-North station.
As of midnight on Wednesday, the FDNY recommended that residents avoid the area around College Avenue and East 163rd Street.
Fire officials tell News 12 that one person suffered a minor injury.
News 12's Elly Morillo is at the scene showing you the latest in the efforts to put the fire out.
Fire officials have yet to determine the cause of the fire at this hour.
