Forecast:
Has that summer wind, that came rolling in and kept our air so warm gone for the season?
Hurricane Erin helping to unlock some of that cooler Canadian air as she passes well east of our area, but her wind field is large enough to displace that cooler environment.
Two weather systems will be impacting the local forecast this week and keep the weather very breezy.
A weather system to our west is slowly moving in our direction.
This will bring showers and storms through Connecticut on Wednesday into very early Thursday.
Hurricane Erin is passing over 400 miles to the east, but it is such a massive storm and the front helping to steer Erin away from the East Coast will allow winds to buffet the area Thursday.
Coastal flooding during high tide will be of concern, too. Tides run higher than average during new and full moons.
We will almost be at a new moon, so we should expect minor to moderate flooding during high tide starting Wednesday and lasting through Friday's early high tide cycle.
