A detainee escaped from Bronx Lebanon Hospital on Friday afternoon, police say.

The 42-year-old man fled 1650 Grand Concourse at around 2:40 p.m. wearing a hospital gown and black sweatpants, according to the NYPD.

Citizen app footage captured the large-scale search launched by police, using ground patrol and helicopters.

Information about the crime the man allegedly committed was not immediately made available.
