All right. We're also taking a look at the 18th district right now where Congressman Pat Ryan has won the second term and he is now taking the podium, got off the phone and I, and anybody who, who did tune into our four debates that we had, sorry, my phone is ringing uh from Pete Buttigieg. I will say that's, I don't normally, I don't normally name drop, but that's kind of cool. I don't normally name drop, but that's kind of cool. I'm blowing him off to uh um but I just got off the phone with, with Alison and I said, you know, in each of our debates, we certainly, I didn't agree on much. Um But we did have civil debates. I respect her. I respect the fact that um she called me and conceded this race. I hope that that norm it's gonna be a long night and possibly a long few days. But I hope that that foundational democratic norm holds here in our country. And I, and I am optimistic that it will. Um I wanna thank again, my wife Rebecca for being my partner on this journey. Thank you. Um Theo and cam were tearing up the office earlier. Uh, as anybody who was Erica Witness, they're now sound asleep, but I'm glad that they, they got to see, you know, our democracy in action and um someday we'll be able to explain to them uh this crazy, crazy moment that we're in and how proud I am of every single person in this room and our, our whole community. Um My parents are here somewhere. The lights are very there. They are Kevin and Patty. Thank you guys. I love you. Thank you. Um We'll do some by name. Shout outs of a lot of folks and uh but I uh sort of towards the end, but I wanna definitely thank my whole incredible team. Both our uh our official staff who's mostly all up from Washington DC and have been knocking on doors and doing all the great work and our campaign team. I especially want to say that. Uh Shout out uh Cade Mike Camp, where's Cade? Our incredible campaign manager, Cade ran a masterful campaign. Thank you, Cade and my chief of staff, Chris Walsh. Thank you, Chris. Uh as well as uh Dan Torres, our incredible district director and my deputy chief of staff. Thank you, Dan. Everybody in this room has heard me say this, but we have to continue to say it. We centered this campaign again on freedom on patriotism on an optimistic forward looking vision for our country. We, we met people across this big district where they were both physically and mentally and morally, we addressed issues that they were facing and challenges they were facing head on. And we, we really did our best to bring people together and call to the best in people at such a difficult and divisive and dark moment in our country. We, I really think we lifted up the best of the Hudson Valley. Um And I am so damn proud that our whole community across Ulster and Duchess and Orange counties really met that and heard that. And as, as Lincoln said, uh our, our better angels are what we're gonna need to continue to call to in the, in the coming hours and days and weeks here. I know you're all here because you agree with me on this, both that part, but also the part I'm about to say, which is that I love this country. I love our country. All right, we are now listening to Pat Ryan, uh who has just won a second term uh as congressman for the 18th congressional district, the former Ulster County executive, giving a few words here at the podium.

Along party lines. Nothing that surprised me. Right. We're back here at the best Western. This is our home base for the rest of the evening and I'm not exactly sure how long we're going to be here. It really depends on how these local races and how the presidential race goes. So as for right now, people are getting some drinks in them right now and the vibe is uh pretty positive. You got about 200 supporters and other officeholders here and you had the media table here, you got about 10 different media outlets, local and national uh covering. It really shows uh what kind of interest there is right now in this race. And I want to move over right now to, uh someone that Pat Ryan knows pretty well. I'm over here. I'm joined by county executive. Oh, come on over here. Yep. She's right over here, county executive. Uh Jen Metzger and Jen Metzger became county executive shortly after Pat Ryan uh departed to uh take a seat in Congress and I've been speaking with her this evening. How do you feel based on the numbers that we're seeing come in, uh presidential numbers and local numbers. I think it's way too early to tell about the presidential race. But I am hopeful that the American people will do the right thing and support our freedom, support the values that we all share as Democrats. I feel very good about Pat Ryan. I mean, he is by far the best candidate in this race. He, he is the biggest defender of our freedom. He can speak to it from a of authority, you know, fought for our country. And he is out there on the issues that we care about. He's out there on the issue, he cares about the people he represents. And we here in that too. I really feel that he, he cares about the basic issues, the bread and butter issues of us being able to like, you know, afford, afford the food we buy, you know, afford the rent, we have to pay, you know, he is paying attention to those issues and they're really tough for everyone. And I have to say he was so out there and out in front on a women's right to choose and I give him huge kudos for that because from the very start when he was running for this office and he is stuck with it and that is like women are under attack in this country and we need people like Pat Ryan standing up for us. So I feel like he's going to get over the finish line. And people, are you finding a way to relax? Are you relaxing? Having a drink or something? I can't relax. I can't relax and tell them about you, Assemblyman Assembly, Jonathan Jacobson. Uh How are you getting some, uh, have to drink and, you know, I don't drink. All right, they're about to give us the wrap here. We have a lot more to cover here. But first we want to go to uh uh my colleague, Jade, she's in Bronxville right now covering the Das Race right now. And Jade tell us what you have.
