A state trooper previously arrested for a domestic disturbance in August is facing additional charges for the same incident, according to authorities.

State police say Edward Gorkin was apprehended for disorderly conduct during a verbal and physical altercation.

He was arrested for a second time on Tuesday. The new charges against him include risk of injury to a child.

State police say he has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
