Saturday night's gala at the Royal Regency Hotel drew a crowd of church members and well-wishers.

Bettie Deberry, of Yonkers, calls the church's legacy an example of unwavering faith.
"Eighty years means God is in control and still is. Its an awesome thing to get 80 years and continue on in God's name and I think that will be a blessing," she said.
Fellow worshipper Marion Allen, says she couldn't agree more.
"I'm so happy to celebrate with them because we're all one body. We just want to be here to show our celebration, show that we appreciate them. It's good that all the churches are able to come together," she said.
