The Coastal Fairfield County chapter of Habitat For Humanity celebrated a newly constructed home Saturday for Jenny Aguirre and her son Christopher. It took nearly 11 years to source, build, and find a compatible family with disability needs. Many people came out to cheer them on as they opened the door to their new lives. "When you think about the affordable homeownership journey, it's always rewarding to be able to have a dedication and for a family to be able to move into their home. And the relationship doesn't stop there. They're forever a Habitat family. So we'll always be getting together for a family, picnics, Christmas parties, anything they need," said Carolyn Vermont, CEO of Habitat For Humanity Coastal Fairfield County. Jenny and her son also received housewarming gifts from Habitat staff and volunteers.
