Cloudy, drizzly, cooler weather is about to be briefly replaced with warmer weather for the end of the week. And dare we say it out loud - some sunshine.
FRIDAY: The pick of the week. Partly sunny skies and warmer conditions with highs in the mid-70s.
WEEKEND: Weekends have not been friendly to us. We have had 11 straight weekends where New Jersey has seen some measurable precipitation in our rain gauges. Will it be 12?
SATURDAY: While we are not looking at a washout, I think at some point on Saturday, the skies will try and shake out a few showers. It’s not expected to be a statewide soaking, but expect more clouds than sunshine.
SUNDAY: Forecasting fingers crossed that on Sunday the weather begins to improve where the clouds clear in the morning giving us some late sun.
COMING UP: Next week is brighter and warmer. All encouraging news leading up to the holiday weekend. But as history has taught us - weekends haven't been our friend weather-wise.
History has a way of repeating itself. It's still a meteorological lifetime down the road to fine-tune those details, so stay with the News 12 Storm Watch Team for any updates on next weekend's forecast.
