Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim announced Wednesday the city is accepting proposals for redeveloping the old Remington Arms site on Barnum Avenue.
"Some of the proposals have already come in - and we are seeing projects ranging from affordable housing to commercial sites," Ganim said.
"The historic Shot Tower, which produced millions of rounds of ammunition during World War II, is the only portion of the plant that's been preserved," Ganim said.
Developers have until Nov. 19 to submit their proposals, Ganim said.
