Twenty-four aspiring physicians received their official lab coats Friday during a ceremony at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine.
The event signifies the beginning of the student’s service in medicine and celebrates their future careers.
Dean Gladys Ayala said that she is proud of the students and their accomplishments during the ceremony.
“We just recently graduated our third class for this relatively new school,” she said. “They're going on and doing great things in their residency programs and soon into the workforce."
