Parachute Brooklyn, a children’s clothing store in Greenpoint, is offering some alternatives for parents doing last minute school shopping.
Whether it’s a new backpack or contemporary or vintage clothes for the kids — it is all available at the store.
The buy, trade, sell model offers parents quality back to school clothes, that may not be found at your typical department store.
Owners tell News 12 they’ve already seen more parents heading in as schools open soon, but they’re hoping new parents will stop by.
“I think what makes it a good option is that it’s secondhand,” said Carly Boonparn, owner of Parachute Brooklyn. “So, it’s far more sustainable than buying new clothes because children tend to grow out of it so fast and it’s also really affordable. Most of our clothes is second hand and we buy from the public.”
