Brooklyn residents headed to their local hardware store Saturday to stock up on supplies like rock salt and shovels ahead of the evening and overnight snowstorm bearing down on the region.
DSNY reminded property owners to clear snow from the sidewalks outside of their homes. Failure to do so could result in a fine of at least $100.
“I have some salt, I just wanted to make sure it doesn’t get icy because it’s supposed to get cold the next couple of days," said Edward Manning.
