Officials around Westchester County say they are bracing for what's in the forecast Tuesday.
DPW crews will be out in full force early Tuesday. Officials say they will be putting down salt on the roads.
Also, drivers are urged to take it easy and go slow if the conditions get difficult- that's especially important for drivers who are traveling from northern Westchester County.
"It changes drastically around 287 in White Plains. There's times where they get an inch or two of snow and we're getting less than a half an inch of snow so be careful," says Thomas Meier, commissioner for the City of Yonkers Department of Public Works.
Emergency crews throughout Westchester County tell News 12 they will be ready for any changing conditions.
Officials are also urging drivers to get prepared now.
Over at Yonkers Paint and Hardware, they saw customers coming in Monday doing just that.
"People are gearing up for the snow for sure," says Owner Michael Carnicelli.
Officials also say now is a good time to make sure your snowblower is working.
