Teamed up to encourage people to get to the polls news twelve's Jody Juliana Powell was there for the event. That's right, Nadia, as the primaries are right around the corner, the Bronx state of NYC votes are racing to get Bronx sites registered to vote. They want people to pledge that they will vote in the upcoming election next week. And with the pledge, you get a free T shirt and if you've already registered, you get a free hat too. Owner of the Bronx native says that the Bronx has historically seen lower voting counts among young adults, which is why events like these are so important to bringing change to the Bronx things that attract the youth, right? Fashion music, good food, you know, and we're out here, we're all coming together and it is a good vibe. It's a good and it's definitely going to make more people here in the Bronx, especially young people go out there and vote organizers are giving out information on the importance of voting local and to top it off, there's a DJ and fruit chopped cheeses to those who come out and pledge in Mott Haven, Jody Juliana Powell.
