A Bridgeport man has been convicted on charges relating to a
2022 home invasion in Milford, where he posed as an Amazon delivery driver, the State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Ansonia/Milford announced Tuesday.
A jury found Shane Gordon guilty on nine charges, including home invasion, robbery, kidnapping and assault.
Prosecutors say in January 2022, Gordon and two other armed men disguised themselves as Amazon employees and went to a home on Naugatuck Avenue to deliver a package. They also had assistance from a getaway driver.
Officials say when the homeowner opened the door to receive the package, the trio forced their way into the home. They say at one point, one of the men pointed a gun at the victim. The suspects also tied up the victim with duct tape and stole valuable items, including jewelry, worth more than $50,000.
Prosecutors say Gordon failed to appear in court Tuesday to hear the verdict and a judge ordered for him to be rearrested. His bond was set at $2.5 million.
Gordon will be sentenced Aug. 26.
One of the men involved, Jahsim Trotman previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. A third man, Dominique Jackson, also pleaded guilty prior to his trial for having planned the robbery.
